Consultative

Invariably, certain research projects lead to consultative services. For example, a request, to search for  yacht builders in the United States, by a potential buyer, may develop into a series of activities. These activities may include a request to contact selected builder, a search to identify some builders, conduct negotiations, draft a yacht construction contract, conduct surveys of the yacht, call on the U.S Coast Guard to conduct inspections of the yacht and deliver the yacht to the client.

Similarly, question about exporting to a certain country may lead to an import-export market or international trade consultative relationship.
